Jonathan Bowman (1703/04-1775) graduated from Harvard College in the class of 1724 (M.A., 1727). He was a conservative churchman, though popular, and was settled at the First Congregational Church in Dorchester, Mass., in 1729; he remained until dismission after a dispute with the congregation late in 1773.
